Connecting to Reiki
You don’t need to have prior experience with Reiki, meditation, or any other type of energy healing to reap big benefits from this introductory class.
The ability to connect easily with the very high vibration of Reiki energy – and almost effortlessly channel it through your body and out through your hands – is a gift that truly is available to anyone willing to learn.
And it’s a gift that you can begin giving to yourself (as you learn how to perform self-healing) and offering to others – as I teach you techniques for helping your family, friends and even future clients with this universal life-force energy known as Reiki.

Attunement Process
Reiki is not a religion, but it is believed to come from your Higher Power (however you choose to define it). What is key to connecting with this spiritual healing energy is an “attunement” process taking little time.
In Japanese, the Reiki attunement is called reiju (meaning spiritual blessing) and is considered an awakening process, greatly amplifying the abilities of your healer within. These attunements, channeled through the teacher to the student during a peaceful meditation, are a key part of any Reiki training program.
There are four attunement levels in traditional Usui Reiki, each increasing your strength in using this healing energy. You will receive the first two attunements (Level I & II) in this class.

Benefits of the Course
The use of hands-on Reiki healing helps clear the body’s energy centers and pathways of imbalances and blockages resulting from lower vibrational states such as illness, stress, fear, guilt, repressed anger, trauma, etc. You may already be aware that the body has a memory just as the brain does.
In the one-day Usui Levels I & II class at Wellspring Rejuvenation Center, you will receive certification recognized by the International Center of Reiki Training and International Association of Reiki Professionals. Importantly, you will:
- Receive the first two attunements (levels called Choden and Shuden, respectively, in Japanese).
- Learn the history of Reiki (how it was traditionally practiced in Japan and has evolved to incorporate ancient awareness of energy centers called chakras from yoga philosophy).
- Gain deeper understanding of the chakras and the body’s electromagnetic field of energy.
- Learn hand positions to perform Reiki on yourself by targeting the chakras and anywhere else in need of healing.
- Gain hands-on experience providing Reiki healing touch to others.
- Receive three symbols that will shape your intention for using Reiki, including sending energy from a distance.
- Practice sending distant energy.
- Practice easy meditations for improving your energy.
- And learn to employ techniques for protecting your own energy in your daily life.
You will receive two textbooks: Reiki: The Healing Touch by William Rand, founder of the International Center for Reiki Training, and a supplemental manual published by Wellspring Rejuvenation Center.

Lifelong Ability
Once your energy field is attuned to Reiki in the Level I & II class, you have this healing ability for life and can use it at will.
All you have to do is intend to channel Reiki, and it starts flowing through your body and out through the palms of your hands to wherever you direct it – to specific parts of your body or to others. You can truly feel this warm and wonderful energy!
Because you become a channel for this energy through Reiki training, you actually receive healing benefit as you transfer it to another individual. You can use it on your pets and plants as well.
Benefits of the Combined Course
Some teachers elect to split the Levels I & II into two different classes. But the International Center for Reiki Training recommends combining them into a single course.
This is not too much to take on in a single day, because the only significant addition at Level II is the introduction of three symbols for helping shape your energetic intention and the energetic strengthening effect of the second attunement.
Therefore, you’ll complete the course in a much better position to help yourself and others. And you’ll likely save a significant amount of money by taking a combined course. I think it’s a huge value-add!
Personalized Instruction, Ongoing Support
My class sizes are small, usually limited to four students, allowing plenty of time for personalized instruction to meet your needs.
An optional two-hour Refresher Followup session of one-on-one energy trading is included as part of the class at no additional charge. You can schedule that whenever you feel ready to return and get more practice, as well as ask any questions that might have come up since your class day.
Note: There are two delightfully social cats are in the vicinity. If you have a pet allergy (which can’t easily be controlled by an allergy med), or if you’re afraid of cats, or just don’t like cats, this may be not be the right space for you. The cats rule the roost. They just let me work here. I can happily provide referrals to feline-free practices if cats pose a risk to your physical or mental health.

NOTE: If you’re already taken Level I training with another teacher, I encourage you to take this entire training anyway. You will gain a fresh perspective on the basics from a teacher with years of practical experience. And throughout the day, you’ll learn about concepts that are not covered in all training programs. For example, even in the chakra discussion early in the day, I will reference specific case examples that will help you better understand how our thinking patterns affect our energy. You will leave class with both a firmer foundation and advanced awareness.
