Upon completion of the class, you will be a registered Karuna Reiki Master as well as a certified La-Ho-Chi Healing Facilitator.
Through my many years of teaching, I’ve found that La-Ho-Chi (a healing system complementary to Reiki) is a natural fit with the Karuna Master training. It’s also a huge value add!

Evolution of Reiki
Karuna Reiki®, an expression of the evolving nature of Reiki, was formalized into a system by International Center for Reiki Training in the early 1990s.
Dedicated Masters working the center didn’t set to formalize an extension of Reiki. But they found that a variety of additional Reiki symbols helped them tap into high-frequency energies and employ specific healings intentions that can be effective (if in alignment with recipients’ path of growth and life plan).
Eventually William Rand, founder of ICRT, felt spiritually guided to develop the Karuna Master training system. The Sanskrit word Karuna came to him to describe this system. He didn’t know it at the time, but Karuna is a Sanskrit word that means “compassionate action” (which truly epitomizes the spirit of all Reiki).
Karuna Training Benefits
Because its healing energies can be very strong, Karuna Reiki is considered the next step after Usui Reiki. Only those who have completed the Usui Reiki Master level are eligible to take the Karuna Master training.
In the class, you will:
- Receive two attunements.
- Expand your toolkit with nine additional symbols, which help focus the intention of your energywork on a range of specific issues.
- Practice methods for developing your intuition as a healer and better connecting with spiritual guidance.
- Learn chanting/toning in conjunction with Reiki.
- Further your own subconscious healing through use of the “Shadow Self Meditation.”
- Learn how to attune others to Karuna Reiki.
- Receive a training manual written by William Rand and Wellspring Rejuvenation Center’s handbook on How to Start Your Own Reiki Practice.

About La-Ho-Chi
The La-Ho-Chi portion of the training will attune you to a strong form of energy healing that feels distinct from Reiki (but is performed in similar fashion).
Coming through at a very high frequency, La-Ho-Chi can be beneficial on physical, mental, emotional and spiritual levels. The La-Ho-Chi system is believed to tap the energy of an advanced spiritual consciousness known as La-Ho-Chi (sometimes spelled LaHo-Chi or LaHoChi).
La-Ho-Chi Training Benefits
During the La-Ho-Chi training, you will:
- Receive the La-Ho-Chi attunement.
- Practice hand positions for using this energy (on yourself and others).
- Learn techniques for working with Angels and Spirit Guides.
- Learn how to attune others to La-Ho-Chi.
- And receive a training manual published by Wellspring Rejuvenation Center
La-Ho-Chi was discovered in the early 1990s when a spiritual teacher named Satachmar, a devotee of Sai Baba and Meher Baba in India, was asked by his student Michael David Lawrence about a better way to heal. The La-Ho-Chi energy presented itself, and this system was created.
The “La” part of the name refers to the light, love and wisdom coming from a Higher Power through the practitioner; “Ho” is the movement of this energy through the subtle and physical bodies; and “Chi” is the Chinese term for life force.
Some associate the La-Ho-Chi energy vibration with ascended masters such Kuan Yin, a bodhisattva associated with compassion in Buddhism; and Lao Tzu, author of the Tao Te Ching. Others consider this healing from the Angelic realm. Whatever the case, it’s safe to say that La-Ho-Chi definitely comes from a Higher Power.

Personalized Instruction, Ongoing Support
My class sizes are small, usually limited to four or five students, allowing plenty of time for personalized instruction to meet your needs.
An optional two-hour Refresher Followup session of one-on-one energy trading is included as part of the class at no additional charge. This is a great opportunity that you schedule after the class to get more practice and ask any questions that might have come up since your class days.
Students who complete the Karuna Reiki Master/La-Ho-Chi training receive ongoing guidance for if and when they are ready to start teaching others. To prepare for teaching, they are welcome to re-sit in space-available classes that they have already taken at Wellspring Rejuvenation Center (for a nominal fee: $60).
